Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-07
We want you to feel good about subscribing to Pythonator. Here's how refunds work.
1. First-payment refund window
If you subscribe to Pro and decide it's not for you within 7 days of your first charge, email us from the address on your account and we will refund that charge in full. This applies once per customer — it doesn't reset on subsequent renewals.
2. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from Manage subscription in your account menu (which opens the Stripe-hosted Customer Portal). Cancellation:
- Stops future renewals immediately.
- Keeps you on Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- Does not trigger an automatic refund of the unused portion of the current period.
3. Yearly refunds after the 7-day window
If you bought a yearly plan and want to cancel mid-year, the 7-day full-refund applies as above. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion and may be pro-rated; reach out and we'll work it out fairly.
4. Failed renewals
If a renewal payment fails, we'll let Stripe retry the charge for up to 14 days. During this period your access continues as normal. If retries fail, the subscription is canceled and you drop back to the free tier.
5. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights you have under the law of your country (for example, the EU 14-day cooling-off period for digital services, where applicable).
6. How to request a refund
Email us from the address associated with your account, including:
- Your account email
- The Stripe receipt number (look for the email with subject like "Your receipt from Pythonator") or charge date
- A short note on what didn't work for you (so we can do better)
Most refunds are processed within 2 business days. Funds typically appear on your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
7. Exceptions
We don't refund:
- Accounts terminated for violating the Terms of Service.
- Free-tier accounts (there's nothing to refund).
